I know we were only supposed to have two questions but i have a few extra
1. What is a torsion catapult? 2. When it says "Alexander's larger plans" what does that mean? 3. How did Alexander manage to defeat Porus? 4. Was Alexander the son of Apollo or Zeus? It says he was the son of Apollo near the end and it says his mother said that he was the son of Zeus. Are both mythical?
1. What was happening in India before Alexander took over it? How was Porus as a leader? 2.What exactly was the alliance that Alexander used on so many other countries along with India? 3. In the paragraph about Alexander's death it says that "he had engaged in another of his notorious bouts." Is it known if he had an alcohal problem?
1. Where is the city of Bucephalus? 2. Were the war elephants first used in India? 3. Wouldn't ATG's empire weaken as it got bigger because they were so spread out? Wouldn't some areas rebel?
Has the middle Eastern area (around Iraq) always been an area of conquer? The reading mentions his horse, but not his wife...what was his family life like?
What made Persia so much more horrible, because Persia was good and freedom of religion was part of Persia(Cyrus- 515) to ATG being needed to free so many people?
1. It said in the siege of Tyre paragraph that the Greeks still posed a threat. Weren't the Greeks already conqured by ATG? 2.How did ATG build a land bridge?
